Hey there, I'm Kelli

If im being super honest, I've just always known that I wanted to be a chiropractor. I actually can't think of a time where there was anything else that I wanted to be.

I knew I wanted to be in an industry where I could help people. The other (imaginary) boxes that I needed to check were that I wanted my career to be something that I would love, It needed to be something that I knew I could make a difference in an industry and it needed to be meaningful. You know that “I am excited to get out of bed every day and do what I do” type of meaningful.

You may actually be super surprised to hear my motivation as to why I decided to get into a field where I not only get to help people but I also have been given the opportunity to run my own business. It's actually something I've never really come out and talked about till now but after redirecting my brand and feeling inspired to put a fresh new perspective in my industry, I think its so incredibly important that you know why I wake up and do this every day. I want to share where my inspiration comes from and why I believe that my industry can single handedly change the direction of your health and have you leading your best life yet.

My biggest inspiration by far has been my family. You see, when you grow up in a family like mine your opportunity to be around highly successful, motivating and inspiring individuals is never ending. My support system is my why. It’s what drives me every single day to show up as my most authentic and best self. To say I’ve had some pretty big boots to fill is a complete understatement but I would like to just go ahead and say that I've had some pretty great luck following in my families foot steps.

I would love to take a moment to break it all down, and open up my biggest inspirations with you.

My dad -I would not be the woman I am today if it wasn’t for this man. There’s a story that’s always stuck out to me the most that I think embodies the type of determined, hard working and humble man that he is. When he was a little boy and going to school he was made fun of and picked on for being a pig farmer/cattle ranch kid. As any farm boy growing up and working on the farm he would have to go to school smelling like the farm. I can’t even imagine going through those emotions every day at school but my dad took that energy and used it as part of his motivation to work toward being successful later in life. Between that determination and his humble heart, these qualities and watching him lead by example has driven and inspired me beyond words. He’s thankful and appreciative and seeing that, how he carries himself and how he has utilized his success has been so inspiring.

My Mom - My mom, Mary Jo Nelson was a PE teacher for over 20 years at Manhattan High. She taught various weightlifting classes and later in her career started a female strength and conditioning class. There has been quite a bit of research and progress in recent years on the effectiveness of certain workout/training styles and what mom did in her class was on the forefront. Talk about a trend setter!

I remember Mom really being excited about her class. She was way ahead of her time in making the class more functional, using full body movements, and including plyo-metrics intermingled with weights. If you know me and my love for health and wellness - you can see that the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree.
Seeing my mom being such a powerful, female health advocate gave me all the confidence in the world that I needed to take on this industry but also be a voice for the female body. As my brand and business is pivoting more towards helping women, it’s safe to say that I know it’s possible to be a leader in my industry.

I learned from the best.

*** side note- to all you mama’s out there- your kids are watching. Show up every single day as the best version of yourself. You have no idea the impact that you can make on your little ones :)

My Sister -One of my best friends. She’s also an entrepreneur and oddly enough we've been on this crazy entrepreneurial journey for close to the same amount of time. To say that having her as a best friend and someone I can have to ask questions to, vent, ask for advice and just lean on has been a complete blessing. She’s so invested in her business and gives it 100% in literally everything she does. She’s the best at marketing and sales (she was on radio for 10 years and she did marketing /sales in every other position she’s been in). You guys, she is literally amazing at this stuff. Now she gets to do the work for HER business! I think that it’s such a beautiful thing when you can watch someone flourish and then watch their journey of doing it for themselves. I’m so lucky to have her in my life.

My Brother - Im sure you can tell by the picture below that my siblings and I were a hoot growing up. Just like my sister, my brother has also been a self-starter working for Edward Jones Investments. But what I admire the most about my brother is that he wears his heart on his sleeves. What you see is what you get. There’s just something about that quality that’s so comforting. He’s not only taught me through his own actions of what honest hard work looks like he really ingrained in me what it takes to dedicate yourself to your business.

My Husband -Last and certainly not least, my husband, Adam. He really gave me the confidence to start on my own and build my business just like I wanted to. I know its so cliche to say but he’s behind me 100% and believes in me. He knows the frustrations and hardships you can have while owning your own business. He’s an Edward jones financial advisor and understands the hustle and hard work it takes to really build a successful business. He balances me in both our relationship but also with how I look at my business. He knows what it takes to put everything into your work. The blood, sweat and yes, even tears. He just gets it. He gets me. To be able to have someone I can lean on in my business, look to as a source of motivation and just be a strong better half and partner for our family is completely indescribable.

Although my inner circle spreads a lot farther than these 5 individuals. I am surrounded by so many other inspiring friends, mentors and entrepreneurs but to know me is to truly know my family. THIS IS WHY I DO WHAT I DO. These are my people. This is my why.
